C. STEPHEN TOBIN
Attorney & Counselor at Law
Stephen focuses his practice on delivering practical solutions to clients engaged in business transactions, residential and commercial development, as well as construction projects, complex real estate transactions, and related financing activities. Advising individuals and small businesses alike, he specializes in business and consulting agreements, residential and light-commercial construction, real estate contracts, purchase-and-sale agreements, deeds, lien releases, employment agreements, loan documents, and deed restrictions. Stephen also participates in dispute resolution and advises clients regarding the formation and governance of business organizations.
Stephen is a cum laude graduate of the University of Arizona’s James E. Rogers College of Law, where he served as Senior Articles Editor of the Arizona Law Review and was elected Vice President of the Student Bar Association. Prior to law school, Stephen was a professional percussionist and music educator, performing with professional symphony orchestras and jazz ensembles. From 2002-2007, he was Director of Percussion Studies and Assistant Director of Bands at South Dakota State University.
Stephen is a member of the Construction, Real Estate, Corporate Counsel, and Solo and Small-Firm sections of the State Bar of Texas. He is also a member of the Tarrant County Bar Association, serving as as Chair of the Construction Section of the Tarrant County Bar Association from August 2017–July 2018. An active member of the Texas Association of Builders, he has served on the Board of Directors of the Greater Houston Builders Association (2015 and 2016).
Stephen is a regular guest lecturer at the Texas A&M School of Law, where he gives speeches on law practice management. He also regularly presents educational seminars at the National Association of Home Builders’ International Builders Show.
